Very High Bounce Rate

Hi,
A few months ago I've lunched a new website: footballfielddimensions.org . Since than I continued working on SEO and now I'm getting over 20 visitors a day to my website, and all traffic is coming from Google.
My problem is that the bounce rate is over 80%, which is pretty high, and also in the last month I didn't had any clicks on my ads, even though I had over 200 unique visitors.

I would appreciate if you could give me a solution to this problem.

Regards!

Try to embed some videos, mostly sporty people like watching more than reading :)

Yes, it's right that you should add videos on your site. Because mostly sports, entertainment category users want to see movie, play. Also, do the competitor analysis which helps you lot.
According to me, update your site regularly. Add player bio, photo in your site.

Hi MM

Your site is getting some visits, but is is not actually linked in anyway anywhere?

You need to invest some time in building some quality backlinks and article root links from unique, topical words that are in your sports niche.

Are you aware the .biz is not yet registered, this would suit your actual target market of searchers better than the .org, as you are promoting the info on the site in a business like manner, plus 2 domains are better than 1 :)

PM us if you need a boost package put together!

You need to analyze where the traffic is coming from. Maybe they are not your target audience. The other possibility is you have the right audience, but you are not giving them the kind of content they want, or at least in the format they want.

I agree that adding video should help, but you should also look at adding audio, images, bullet points, and other design elements that may help them consume the information the way they like.

Don't go changing your whole site. Instead, pick a page that has some good traffic and test some different things out to see what works. You always have to be testing.

As per my experience, bounce rate doesn't matter for blog. You just need to check that your page should not conflicts with each other and as your blog is new then target long tail keywords first. It'll definitely helps you to decrease the bounce rate....

Looks like not many advertisers are bidding on your keyword either. Which means that you're probably not getting many relevant ads posted on your page.

There are several things you can to reduce your bounce rate. First of all, check your browser's performance in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Use a page load timer to test your page load. Remove any pop-ups and ads that interrupt your content. Add a plugin that shows related posts. Provide better navigation and readability.

I think you'll never get anything out of that site no matter what your ranking or bounce rate, if you continue monetizing with adsense.

There are just no relevant ads for that niche.

I completely agree with Jet Chan. You can do video seo to your blog.

* Your blog theme is not much attractive. Try to install other wordpress theme. You don't have any favicon. Also I can see that you are facing canonical url issues.

You need to put some media rich content like images, video and bullet points to engage users, content freshness also helps a lot in reducing bounce rate of website

Hello! There are numerous ways to lessen your site's bounce rates mate. You can check your browser's speed and remove pop-ups. You can also embed videos. I hope that helped you in a way or so. Best of luck!

Your problem is you dont have targeted traffic. People come across your site accidently

Your site is #6 in Google with keyphrase "football field dimensions" and my guess is that most visitors to your site comes from that phrase. These people are information seekers and not really interested in buying anything. They just want to find the information they are looking for. This is probably one reason for high bounce rate.

That's not true. As I mentioned in previous post, the site is #6 in Google with keyphrase "football field dimensions" (6600 exact global searches), so the traffic is very targeted.

The problem is that this is not actually a money key phrase.
