Just wondering what's the best way to utilise a private blog network.

If i write blog posts with my keywords pointing to my money site, is this all i need to do? If the site blog gets naturally indexed by google in a number of days, is that the best link juice i can get?

Or do people then also blast that blog post with 2nd tier backlinks? If so what's the purpose if it's already indexed?

They're usually strong enough on their own

Domain Networks are a great way to go, make sure you keep the sites "private" and don't allow random posts.

Keep the content useful and unique, seo it well, then link to your own site, ideally with the URL or Exact Match Term for the Domain.

    i.e.

    www .mydomain. com

    or

    My Domain

We definately back link our back links, you should too.

Just make sure that the network you're using isn't being targeted by Google, as you surely know many of them got hit in a BIG way. Diversify your link building campaigns to avoid a sudden drop in rankings.

hi ive got about 20 web 2s pointing to my money site and some random authoritive sites in my niche. Half of them are indexed now but wbt isn't showing any backlinks to my site yet nor have I seen a change in serp movement. Any idea how long the effects of a backlink take to have an effect on your serp once they have been indexed?

All links from those private blogs will look unnatural in google. So you need some more links from other high PR blogs. Links should be combined with nofollow and dofollow.

The links won't look un-natural if they are coming from a page that's actually quite relevant to the link, more than 10 words, unique and at least a little compelling.

Agree. It's do not depend of type of link. Blog network, social bookmark or anything just a type of backlink that you can make. The main focus is quality of them. Blog network with quality content, relevant to targeted site can help ranking.

A private one for your own use could help a lot when used correctly.

Basically you just want to make it look as natural as possible,

Here are a few tips that just comes into mind:

    1) Publish a few post without links and a few with links to highly authority sites like "wikipedia, ehow, times etc."

    2) Don't use the same theme, install different themes for each blog

    3) Lets say you have 20 blogs in your network and 10 money sites, don't point all of them to the same set of 10 money sites or this's gonna leave a huge footprint.

    4) Don't use garbage content like those auto-spun unreadable ones.

    5) Don't ever submit anything to Google (e.g. xml sitemap, google analytics, adsense stuffs etc)

    6) To fully utilize the blog network, you definitely should build Tier2 links to them to pass link juice, it would be way more powerful than you don't. Drip feeding tier2 links is recommended rather than blasting.

    7) Create pages like privacy, about us, contact us etc. (Optional but recommended)

    8) Though these links are powerful, don't rely solely on them. Diversify your backlink profile with other link sources and just make this a portion of your backlink profile, and your site's ranking will be pretty solid.

The point is to make it look as real as possible.

    Hope it helps,
