Google disabled my adsense account, last day of the month, SHADY

Yesterday on the 31st, woke up, checked email, there was the dreaded "your google adsense account has been disabled" message. While I have many issues with this, the two main problems are:

1. I have no idea why it was banned. It's great that they link the polices and terms and conditions but they do not say exactly why it was banned. Sure I can read the list but that does not help, I see no violations...

2. Banned on the last day of the month, that is shady on goggles part. I love how they say all advertising money will be returned to the advertisers. I BET! Thats a nice little income boost for google, charge advertisers all month, then on the last day, boot the publisher, and keep it all for themselves, how would the advertiser ever know?

My account was just over $2600 on the 30th the last time I checked it. It's a load of crap and pisses me off. I tried to email google asking the exact reason the account was banned but only get return emails saying to appeal the decision. The problem is thats a one shot deal, if I do not know what to fix, how can it be approved?

Anyone know if there is anyone I can email at google to find out the specific reason my account was disabled or any other suggestions. THX

What kind of sites were you running? Did you have a large authoritive site or lots of small made for adsense micro niche sites?

My earnings come from just one site...

Thanks for the links, like everyone else has posted there, the biggest issue is that google sends this generic and vague response and there is no contact information to find out the "specific" reason a account was banned.

The email they sent me says my site did not offer "significant value to the end user", my site was over 25 pages each with over 500 word articles, some over 1000. My site had over 32,000 unique visits last month, and earned over $2600 in adsense revenue, it must have provided value to someone...

I just want to talk to someone who can say, "we banned your account because of page whatever, or because of this and that" but something specific, not "provided blah blah blah"

I'm mostly upset (ok honestly it's the money) but a close second is that they give you the boot, no real reason why, and no way to find out why. I understand it's google's world and I just live in it, but come one, give us some help here, at least someone to talk to that can explain it...

If you worked for google and could answer my question I'd be happy to. The problem is you don't, and no one at google will. Just like they will not give a specific reason, just these vague references.

And I'll go ahead and say this, (due to pm's) since there may be some crazy chance I get adsense back or forced switch to another income source, I'm not going to post my site, the niche, my method, if I did this through a wso, if I'm going to sell a wso (answer is no), etc., sorry, I'm just looking for others experience dealing with this and google.

thats worrying. How can any of us protect ourselfs from the same fate? Did you have youtube videos on your site at all? Were your articles outsourced on the cheap?

Since your site is no longer using adsense do you mind posting its url for us to all take a look at. I don't want to fall victim to the same type of message

32k unique off 25 articles looks a bit fishy. What was your source of traffic? What percentage of traffic came from search, direct and social?

one thing that doesn't make sense to me is why would google adsense ban your account wouldn't they ban your site they deem unacceptable. Say you may have 5 sites and they love 4 of them but one they feel isn't cutting it. What I'd like to know is would they ban your whole account?

    First of all.

    What was your traffic source?

As 32k visits per month for $2600 earnings is very fishy.

Even at 100k it's still fishy.

I bet it's your traffic sources more than anything else.

    So what were they?

Why is 32k visits vs $2600 fishy?

If he gets $0.80 on average with 10% CTR you are there right? Not that uncommon imo.

I have sites with 25% CTR, just make sure of laser targetted ads and nothing to offer on the site itself lol. Doesnt work like that in many niches though.

The issue you are probably having is the relatively small ip pool that social traffic brings. It's the same with small community websites that have a strong following. If they visit more than once on a regular basis and engage in the paid adverts then Google Adsense can detect this.

The trouble is, if on review they see a group that is active and communicating perhaps on a Facebook page then they could suspect a click ring. It doesn't help if your niche is high cpc. I see this is quite a regular occurence, people building high cpc websites and then spamming social networks for traffic.

Doing the math, 25 articles generating 2600 in a month roughly you could say each article does 100 a month. $3 per day. If each article is ranked well in the top 1 or 2 spot its not that fishy is it? I've seen articles generate that kind money being in spot 4/5

I guess I'll clear up two point here...

    1. 65% traffic from social sites, 30% search, 5% returns
    2. 25 pages, actual "article" count is around 80...

Google made no comment on traffic

As a side note, in the last two months my site was infected with malaware from some Russian site, both times it was caught and cleaned within 48 hours, I know I had some visitors complain about that, but again google didn't say anything about malaware or traffic...

I was just looking for help to get in touch with google over this, I guess no one else knows how to do that, funny how they control it all isn't it.

From my personal exp. and with client's I worked with, I think what happened to you is called clickbombing. Clickbombing is when 1 IP address clicks your ADs like 50-100 times in one day. Google will ban you quickly once they do thier bot check, to protect thier advertisers.

Would you rather it be on the 1st day of the month?

Google sends canned responses generated by a robot.

      It's anyone's guess.

I would imagine it has to do with the quality of
      traffic, perhaps "buying minded traffic."

Google does not want sites that generate tons
of clicks. They want sites that generate sales for
their adwords and ad network users.

Silly to say google is pissing off marketers. of course they
piss off marketers. Marketers that they ban, that is.

They had record profits, record android sales, record chrome
      downloads, record this, record that.

They don't care if they piss you off.

That was not intended for the OP. I always say it sucks, big
time, getting canned and I do not wish that on anyone.

But everyone with an adsense account that is trying to
drum up traffic and clicks, forget it.

Concentrate on targeted traffic. Nothing else.

You were not banned. Just the site was disabled. That
is a common occurrence. I even had one site banned. It
was my free site with my ISP.
      I shrugged it off.

Now when they count the money, you may or may not
      get all or any.

Social traffic sucks. Period. The sooner people realize this,
      the better.

Oh, BTW. Google does not want internet marketers using
      adsense. They want content providers.

i am pretty sure it was disabled because of large volume of traffic originating from social sites.

This has got me thinking about the authoritive website model. My thoughts may not be clearly related to your problem here but I thought I'd voice it. Clearly your site is well optimised. If you have an authoritive site earning a decent chunk of money each month in adsense then this may raise your account for a review of how your earnings are being generated and a closer look at a site generating it. If say you or any individual has a 100 web pages in their site and have followed the similar or same principles for backlinking across them all you will have a a clear footprint with your back linking methods. If google can then see right across the site each page has a very similar if not identical backlink profile it may raise suspicion that the site owner is using automated software such as senuke, scrabebox or magic submitter.

It makes you wonder if a 5 page micro niche site would be better suited to someone using those mentioned tools.

Eep... That is quite rude but I am sure it has nothing to do with it being the last day of the month.

They probably evaluate all the users/websites at the end of the month and if they find something fishy that is the time they take action (its obvious why they do it at the end of the month. If they actually find something on you and ban you, they are saving a ton of money by avoiding mass Payouts)

Adsense is a risky game, even though we have followed all the rules,we can not control where it comes from every click.Common reason given by Google disabled the adsense account is click Fraud.

Well if they banned it for click fraud or traffic I would think they would have said that. They made the "content" statement I posted above.

Regardless, my only option is to go through the site and clean up anything I can and submit a appeal and see what happens.

While this is "my opinion" (but I know others feel the same way) I have come to realize that at this point and time adsense is GAME, it is not a business model that you can count on, it's not guarnteed income, we are at google's mercy. Get what you can out of them and move on, but don't count on adsense to "live" on.

I am looking at a adsense alternative which if it works out I'll skip the big G altogether. Either way I'm submitting an appeal to just see what they say.

I completely agree with you. My account was disabled for poor quality sites as well but I can't complaint as I was issued as series of warnings. But you were banned just because of one site without any warning. I hope they will treat you leniently.

However, by far the most common reason given for banning an account is click fraud. I know people who were told that Google believes them to be innocent but they still cannot let them back into the network because the risk is still. So the interpretation is that you can get banned by an enemy purposefully clicking on your ads to ban you.

Did you do everything ok? Did you check your stats the day before and see if you got any unusual no of clicks? If you are sure that you are wronged then do appeal to them. There are small chances that you will be able to withdraw your money. But your account might gone for good =(
