Is Using Backlink Software Safe?!?!?!

I'm thinking of using some random backlink software from some random torrents, is there any chance of getting penalties from backlink software from Google? I don't care if its effective or not, just aslong as it's not a big risk giving it a go.

thanks!

When you ask very open ended questions, you're likely to get close ended answers like this.

How you use the software determines your results. I use software to build back links the same way I would do it manually it just saves me time. I also make sure the software is working in a randomized fashion.

It saves a ton of time, but you need to fight the urge to use the software's full backlinking potential or you increase your risk of raising a red flag.

Right! Thanks for lighting the way, I thought one just runs the program and it does a programmed run and that was it. I did not know the User had any input, but that's great. So where does one draw the line between automated backlinking and red flags?

        thanks!

I am sure there is simplified software where you can just click a button and it runs, but I would stay far far away from any sort of software like that. The SEO game changes faster than any business I've ever encountered, and with a "one solution fits all" software there is no way to adjust your back linking to the times and to your sites.

Where to draw the line... depends heavily on who you ask, what policies Google decides to implement this week, and the particular site you are building links for. I would start with the first of those factors and find a Guru to follow. Follow someone's method, good bad or indifferent... even if you fail and you find their method isn't the best chances are you will still pick up good information from it because the methods from ALL the Gurus are about 80% the same from what I've seen.

It seems that most of the sites penalized by Penguin got hit because of overly optimized anchor text backlinks, and links from off-topic sites. So, I would assume that software like this designed to collect massive numbers of links in an automated fashion would give you a terrible backlink profile.

    I wouldn't use them.

I highly disagree google penalizes website if they post in an off-topic site. Yes most automated services dont work but manual posting still works. People keep talking as if google gave us right info on Penguin and we have all these experts that dont know anything about Penguin. All Penguin did was take power away from a few automated services, SEO is still alive.

Short answer: Using Software (like Senuke, Magic Submitter, SERobot, etc) for backlinks IS a big risk if you don't know what you're doing. I used to use some backlinking tools in the past and they worked well, but rankings weren't solid (they don't stick). If you don't want to take a risk, hire a professional SEO guy *ahem* that can help you get top rankings and make them stick.

Okay so that wasn't the shortest of answers, but that's the honest truth. Be careful with automated software, it can be disastrous in the wrong hands.

Automated software is create thousands of links within an hour. Is unnatural and quite dangerous after penguin. Its better to go manually.

It depends on how you use the software. A good example would be Scrapebox. It can be both beneficial or hazardous to your rankings depending on whether you use it to blast 1mil blogs or filter our high quality blogs where your links will be found.

Manually is best, but if you can use the software properly, I mean do a research first, pick the right blog than you will be fine, and links diversity is very important per Penguin (the anchor text). Use your domain name for more safer / site title (brand purposes).

I think you can still use softwares for your tier 3 or tier 4 backlinks if you are creating backlinks for your backlinks...

You'll need to know first how to use the backlinking software, otherwise you'll get in trouble. Nowadays BIG G is pretty strict about creating huge random links

You will not rank anything using software, this is 2012 - you need unique content and relevant backlinks or you will just find yourself getting slapped back into the 500's rank position every-time Google releases another algorithm update!

No. Google knows EXACTLY if you're using a software or not because they have a direct connection to your PC! Even if you just browsed the site senuke.com they will penalise your site so be careful!!!

Google is so powerful it knows everything!!!
