Youtube and Other Video SEO

So I've been planning to give youtube videos a try. I am going to do some product and service reviews of affiliate offers.

Youtube is the 2nd largest search engine out there and sometimes you'll rank in google too. Less google dance to deal with and no website to build.

So how do you get youtube vids to rank and what am I missing in my very simplified game plan?

    Bumping this up... it seems to make a lot more sense to make videos promoting affiliate products than building whole websites

    I was thinking the same method as you...

    As well as can we direct link from google adwords?

    Also i wonder what the click through would be to the aff page in the description.
