Hello Warriors !

Watch the videos on cloudflare.com and maxcdn.com.

Will these services really help to get high ranking ?

Thanks.

How long a website takes to load may be a small factor in rankings, and using a Cloud to host content will normally allow your website to be loaded faster. So, on that note, it can increase Google rankings, but it is not guaranteed. Either way, I'm sure your visitors will love the faster loading time

What issues have you had with the service? We have many sites using us without problems at all.

I tried CF a while ago and instead of speeding my site, it had actually slowed it down to the point where it would take minuets to load. As soon as I disabled CF, everything went back to normal. Just my experience.

That seems pretty odd. Did you contact us to check it out? Given the location in your profile, it would be very unusual for this to happen in the USA. It sounds like something may have been blocking requests from our IPs at the host or server level (our IPs should be whitelisted).

Site speed is a factor in Google's algorithm (not the only one). If you do use MaxCDN with CloudFlare, there definitely is no conflict (we have a lot of customers with the same setup). You simply need to make sure the MaxCDN subdomain is in your CloudFlare DNS settings.

Basically the point is cloud-hosting = a bit faster = lower bounce rate = a little bit positive effect on Google ranking

I used cloud flare for a while and thought it was pretty bad. My site slowed down and there european server kept going down.

Now cdnmax, that's a service worth consodering, my site sipped really increased and I had no issues at all

When did you try us? Our network has actually expanded a great deal over the past year (more on the way this year) & we have done some additional things to limit the issues appearing in datacenters.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

I used cloudflare about 8 months ago and the european server was very unreliable.

It depends on where the cloudflare server is - they don't have servers in every country. For UK data request there is no server located in the UK so data is supplied from their server in Holland which in my experience is slower than using UK servers.

Just to reiterate - MaxCDN is a much better option if you want to speed up your site in a reliable way.

What proof do you have that one is better than the other?

Do you guys have a lot of Javascript running?

Also, a lot of things depend on your location vs your audience location. Just because something is slow for you doesn't mean it is for your viewers.

Sure, our customers have CloudFlare issues here and there. The best thing to do is contact someone FIRST before saying this and that doesn't work.

9 times out of 10, it's a problem with the site, not the service, OR a mis-configuration.

With CloudFlare, just the security features alone that they are including for FREE is priceless. Like I said, before giving something a bad review, or bad name, either your web host or CloudFlare should have been contacted first.

EDIT: You can use both in conjunction with each other.

They should help because of geo-targeting and higher speed, but i don't have any personal experience.

Two quick questions from a newbie:

1.) Should I decide to start using these services, would they affect negatively to my current Google positioning?

2.) What are the "cons" of using CDN or cloudfare?. Note: any response saying 'there are none' will not be credible!

    Thanks
