Confused as hell. SEO Wordpress Indexation

Hi folks. I am having a wordpress blog using Wordpress SEO by Yoast Plugin.
When you access http://Mysite.com i want to redirect to http://Mysite.com/mainpost
So I set the static front page display (settings -> reading) to "PageX"
"PageX" i linked using plugin Page 2 Link to "mainpost".
Ok the permalink of the "PageX" changed to the permalink of the "mainpost" and when i access http://Mysite.com redirects to http://Mysite.com/mainpost. Ok so far so good but i think it has affected SEO.
Before i have done this i was on page 2 for my kw like this http://Mysite.com/mainpost
Now the above link is not indexed anymore only http://Mysite.com which is on page 7!
I want when i search for my kw to appear in the search results like this http://Mysite.com/mainpost.
