Does G allow multiple same web 2.0 sites to be in the top ten?

all in top ten? or do they try to diversify it?

    Not sure about other web 2.0..but as for Squidoo, there are usually no more than 2 can be found in Google top ten.

    Not sure why you think they wouldn't allow this. If the content is relevant, valuable, and worthy of the front page, then there is no reason why they can't all be on the same page.

    I would imagine it's very unlikely that they would purposely keep a sub-domain out of the top ten spots just because another sub-domain on the same root domain already exists there.

    If this is something you're worried about, then just build out sub-domains on multiple root domains. Problem solved.

    Yes, after recent Penguin and Panda, I have noticed many web 2.0 sites are ranking very well compare to earlier. Even, For one of my site, I am dominating 8 results out of 10, on page 2 and now trying to move them to page 1. Out of eight, I have few web 2.0, one goarticles.com article and another ArticleBlast.com article....

        Why would it be impossible for 5 separate wordpress domains to rank in the top 10 positions of one SERP?

    Maybe it's possible putting your keyword as the sub domain but it's a risk if you create spam link building.
