Negative Blog is killing us....

I work for a school that does certification for people who wish to teach English to non native speakers. Basically up until a month ago the school used to be owned by a different person who had managed to get on the wrong side of a blogger who posts his blogs on a well established teaching English forum.

His blog title is "Do not study with UniTEFL!!".... which ranks number 2 right after us if you search the name of our school. I have lost track how how many students have pulled out before the commencing the course due to this blog and this doesnt even take into consideration the people who may have signed up before seeing this.

Now that the ownership has changed hands all the information in the blog isnt even close to the truth. We have contacted both him and blog owner and they refuse to take it down.

My question is whats my best bet? Is it possible to post articles to high PR article directories ect and SEO them to rank higher than him to push him off the first page?

Try some scare tactics. Send him a professionally written lawsuit threatening email, that sounds like your lawyer have sent him on your company's behalf. For instance, it could be on "Brand Reputation Damage" or something like that. I don't know how lawyers explain that in their language....but something like that should scare them.

If that won't work then Fiverr is your friend.
Nuke them with same anchor text.
