    My site is a quality website and I was at 4th position on google.com & co.in and after penguin update my position was changed to 18 on .com & 9 on co.in and this was a temporary situation..after three/four days..I got my 4th position on co.in & now 11 on .com. I never created new link or even try SEO for the website(after position changed). I think if your website is of good quality you will definitely get back your position provided..your links must be associated with genuine websites.
