Finally a new free reliable tool that can find backlinks. Great free tool to use since the death of Yahoo Link Explorer.

New: Link Explorer (beta)
The ability to explore link information for any domain is here! Dive deep with this beta tool which allows you to explore links associated with any domain. Simply enter a URL and the tool will supply a list of known links pointing to the specified destination. The default setting will be to display external links pointed at the specified URL, though this can be switched to show internal links as well.
Users can also change the scope to show links pointed to either a domain, as shown below, or an individual URL. Other refinements can help you search by anchor text and by keywords found on a page pointing to you.

Well it is free. You don't have to pay hefty monthly price as compared to third party tools like majesticseo. The rise of third party tools is mainly resulted from the closing of the free yahoo site explorer. The new Bing link explorer is basically a replacement for the dead yahoo site explorer.

How good is this tool for checking a sites anchor text compared to backlink services such as OSE? I've exported backlink data in Bing webmaster tools, but it doesn't show many links compared to OSE, not even half of them. Is this because it acquires the backlink data differently?

Bing new tool is pretty fumbling to get results. I would rather choose Google Keyword tool or should go for Open site explorer.
