Traffic Dropped Overnight by 90% thanks to Google Penguin!?! Any SEO Advice? It'd appreciate it :)

Hey Warriors.

So, i check my traffic stats today and i realised that my site has gone from around an average of 300-400 visits a day to a paltry 20-30 visitors a day!

Then i learned the traffic dropped exactly April 25th, the same day that Google released Penguin!

Any warriors out there willing to lend a helping hand and help me understand how to get my traffic stats back to where they used to be?

I'm no SEO expert!

        Probably.

        The Penguin update punished spammy backlinking methods. What kind of backlinking did you pay for?

          Ohh crap. lol.

          Yea i mean it was a few years ago. I'm not sure but the guy at the time assured me he would add the site to his network of links and sure enough it ranked well in the SERPS.

          2 years later, down the drain i guess.

          I think the lesson for me here is stick to 'White Hat' techniques. Black and even grey hat techniques only deliver in the short term and there's no real longevity in it (unless you just want to turnover some quick cash)

    I think its because you didn't mention hitting up strip clubs for your 18th birthday! Google knows this is a rite of passage for 18 year olds and penalized you accordingly.
