    Smart business move by MS to turn off tracking by default, it makes Google look greedy.

    MS needs some younger people to revive their brand, before they completely fade away.

      as much as I agree with your first point The second seems far fetched to me.

      In terms of raw profits MS is 3x the size of google, and has roughly a dozen legitimate revenue streams, google will be finished long before MS, although I doubt either is going anywhere anytime soon.
