    I just wrote a series of articles about this. Facebook and Twitter can both be great tools to get traffic to your website. Traffic=high placing in search results. Also, linking a word in your status or tweet to your website that has to do with your website (tagging "book" if your site is about books) also helps to increase your SEO because search engines see this as a recommendation. If you're recommending it, it must be good!
