hi guys,

i was wondering if anyone knows of a step by step guide to taking a new domain name from PR NA to PR 3 say within 3 months?

I read that it has been done and i am actually going to try do this. But before i proceed i was wondering if anyone has any experience.

to what i know:

1. the home page must have unique content (im taking about domain pr)
2. it must have a lot of incoming links from (do follow) *btw from my own test, no-follow works too in pushing serp
3. incoming link must have ip diversity (at least 100 class c ips)

more contributions from people with actual experience will be nice.

Backlinks. That's it. It used to be quantity, but now quality is MUCH more important. Seems like you pretty much know what you're doing. Don't let people convince you that "updated content" and "traffic" help your PR. It's always been about the backlinks.

Actually back links is one aspect, but given that Google factor in over 100 different criteria to their alogrithm, if it was just about backlinks then it would be easy, but it isn't. Quality content, traffic and regularly updated DO all matter. Google has shown that it's de ranked many popular sites with lots of backlinks but with poor content since it's penguin updates. I do agree though that backlinks quality is very important. Try to gain backlinks from sites in a similar niche to your own website/blog/forum.

You are right when it comes to ranking your website. But the OP was referring to "PR" (Pagerank)

Two different things that are often confused with each other.

Yes, all these factors are correct. There are some other factors too. Instead of getting links just from do follow websites, try getting links from websites with good PR. Moreover also make sure you dont have any 404 errors or broken links on your website and have a good and quality content on both Title and Description tags.

As the basics of SEO, it applies also to PR.
but defiantly more weight to backlincks.

Eemember the updates (penguin,panda..) are about serps, not pr.

People easily manipulate PR and also alexa rank for example, its mostly backlinks.

Also another factor is domain age.

Easy. Buy 1-2 high pagerank links (and by high, I don't mean pr5)
