Whenever you add a new page to your site, get links to this page.

I get links from this list:

1. EzA (+10 other article sites after I submitted to EZA)
2. Squidoo.com
3. Hubpages.com

.... and other web 20 properties, but these are the main 3.

As for my homepage, this one helps a LOT:

1. Prweb (I get the seo PR, it's expensive, but well worth it)

If you can't afford it or if you are not sure about your conversions (it costs around $200), I recommend to use 24/7 press realease.

You can also use other FREE PR sites.

What is your main backlink strategy?

TIP: By the way, I recommend to outsource all this work.

        You should definitely try Squidoo. It's awesome. Here's a blog I made:

    press release is one thing, normally I will do contextual article posts on blogs. Forum links are ok but all the links are shared with others members in the forums.

    Squidoo is really useful though article marketing is still one of my biggest traffic sources and can generate a lot of good quality links.

      With Squidoo, you are not after the direct traffic, but it's rather a backlink strategy. You will get traffic later from your efforts.

    I just created my second lens at squidoo after long time, Social Bookmarking Service

    Now I see a promising result from it, oh I also did social bookmarking to the lens, works great.
