Why Is Spyfu EPC 8x LESS than GKT

I want to accurately gauge what I can expect per click for an ad to be clicked. I know they will all show differently... but when Google Keyword Tool tells me like $8/click, and then Spyfu tells me $.60 per click... what the hell?
$.60-$.79 to be exact.. What do I believe?
Do I have to redo all of my kw research, because I want $1/clicks or more. (but cant find any).

Hi mandude002,

Seems that you have indeed been using the wrong data for your keyword research.

The Google AdWords Keyword Tool shows you data for search engine result pages on the Search Network, not Display Network data. Spyfu data is based on a very small sample set and is not very accurate when trying to extrapolate.

You need to use the Contextual Targeting Tool get data from the Display Network. And even then, you need to realize that your results will likely vary a great deal, since the Display Network is auction based and a market is formed for each individual website, as well as topics and keywords. The unique market for ad space on your website will determine your final earnings.

You cannot compare directly the CPC from other websites to the unique market that forms for ad space on your website. The market is unique for each individual website.
