Will My Website Rankings be Affected if I Do This?

Google Penguin hit me a little bit, but my site hasn't like totally dropped of the face of Google or anything, but my traffic has reduced to like half what I used to get.

I want to try an experiment that I think will/might increase my conversion rate, but this will involve auto redirecting my site to another site. Will this move affect my ranking in Google do you think? And please kindly back up your thoughts with reasons/specifics.

I'm thinking that it might because for one, the fact that the visitor won't be on my site means that Google cant track such things as how long visitor stayed on my site, etc, and all such info you can get from google analytics.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks.

If you just redirect your internal URLs, then Google won't have any content to rank. That way you won't get any traffic But you can earn a fair bit of money by converting visitors better.
