Have you seen that now Google.com is not opening, can anyone tell what is the reason behind that. if you search Google.com in India then it automatically redirects to Google.co.in
#googlecom

It is opening, it's just redirecting you to your nearest datacenter which would be in India in your case.

Nope, it's been doing this with Google.ca in Canada for as long as I can remember.

I believe you can go to "google.com/ncr" to keep it at .com results.

Its simply being redirected. For landing on Google.com, You need to click on "Go to Google.com" present in the footer of search screen.

Use a US-based proxy or IP.

Google.com is working very fine dear. Some times it redirects to Google.co.in which may be the nearest data center in a particular location (India in your case).

Yeah, this is a VERY annoying "feature" of Google's - it persists in redirecting me to my country site instead of .com, even though for my work (not SEO) I have NO interest in locally-tailored listings, in fact they are a complete pain.

I know how to get round it, sometimes it "sticks" for a while, sometimes it doesn't, I wish I knew of a permanent fix, not just those workarounds, considering I do HUNDREDS of searches in a typical day.

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Hey Mark, good point, the *easiest* way is to have a gmail account (just for searching) that in the settings is XXXX country. That is how we get around it, plus if you land on a new tab, with the settings set, it will still work if you are logged in. Just leave it open *ready for searching* in a new window on a browser you do not use much... like IE!

Same here, redirected me in Firefox, and clicking on Google.com did not work. Went to Chrome, and accessed Google.com no problem.

Type Google.com/ncr in address box it will not redirect to you. Google is redirecting users to nearest datacenter
