This is to any experts out there. I have the following site Handyman Services in London

It's been over 3 weeks now and the site has not been indexed by Google, Yahoo or Bing. It has never taken me this long to get a site indexed.

Any thoughts?

I have a new site that has also not been indexed after three weeks.
I checked my own robots.txt file after finding this thread and sure enough... I had disallowed google from accessing the site in the beginning when I was building it and had forgotten to aallow access lol.

      Thanks to all, specially Marco.

I created the robots.txt file with the following info:
      -----
      User-agent: *
      Allow: /
      -----

It should be OK now, right?

First of all make sure you allows SEs to index your site. As of this moment your robots.txt is probably not accessible.

Secondly, you should let SEs know about your site by submitting your root URL to services like Blog and Ping Tool - Use Pingler.com to Drive Traffic your Blogs and Websites. Then create a few links from high PR sites (social sites). Use http://www.onlywire.com for this.

Alternatively, you can submit your root directory URL directly to Google through webmaster tools. http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url

Usually If you place a link on a web page that get's consistently re-indexed by Google, they'll find the link to the new site pretty quick, sometimes in just hours.

Try adding a link to any of your other sites, pointing at the new site.

Better don't arert google by submitting your website directly to the google bot and do NOT ping it. Wait for google to visit and index it naturally!
