Hey guys,

Today, thanks to Ahrefs, i've noticed that i have some weird looking links coming from Wiki sites with this anchor text: " SPAM DE-INDEX SPAM"

Here are some examples:

Main Page - A2z
Main Page - WikiTyer - The Ultimate Fly Tying Encyclopedia
Adref - Clwb Nofio Pwllheli

At first i thought that i have placed my link where i shouldn't have, and the admins have reported me as spam; but then i realized that i have never placed my URL on these websites (i've even gone through all the revisions).

But i do admit, that i have placed an article there with a link to my web 2.0 website (you know... tiered link building). I thought that i have screwed up BIG TIME (which i maybe did. Now i will never use Wikis as a backlinking method).

But then i've noticed that the Revisions that have "identified" my main URL as Spam were made by people with the same usernames:
  • Skellyplumbing
  • Anchorroofing

I don't know about you, but these usernames sure look suspicious, and i'll tell you why:

If you look at the bottom of the pages, you will see that there are still links there which point to some external websites:
  • Houston Plumbers
  • Houston Roofing Contractor

Now remember the usernames (Skelly Plumbing and Anchor Roofing... sounds familiar, right?)

Of course, there is a chance that these guys (or guy) own all of these Wikis, but i find that unlikely.

What do you think i should do? If that was an attempt to screw up my and other people's ranking, then i want revenge

Stop building crap links and fighting for space on an abused wiki. The time you've spent placing the link, and checking to see if some other idiot messed with it ..you could have done something more productive.
