What are the minimum system requirements for a vps to run ms?

Just curious. In ms in the settings I see there is an option to close and restart ms should it use in excess of 900mb of ram.
Ok simple question then is if I buy a vps, what are the minimum requirements I should be looking for? could I get away with one that has 1gb ram?
Secondly when on the topic of ms can I assign different proxies to different profiles being used to hide my footprint. I know it supports proxies, but I dont want two or three different profiles using the same proxy or it defeats the whole point of making each profile post look like its from a unique connection.
