Should I connect with links different language versions of my site?

We provide 9 year service (international marketplace). Firstly we had 6 language versions of our site (we call them main as they are the oldest). Then we started to add new language versions. Now we have 18. Each is on its own domain.
I wander if it is normal to have links on the main pages of each version to all other language versions of the sites. Can it harm anyhow?
