penguin killed my dot com - would switching to dot net

as my dot com has 1000's of spammy BLs that i have no way to remove.

    The .net would be a new domain, so if the backlinks were the problem, then that would get rid of the bad backlink problem.

    One of my money sites got slapped yesturday, too. It's the fifth one in lastest 3 months. And I really don't know how to fix it because I have stop almost all low quality link building strategies, but seems like that's not working. Should I deleted all the low quality backlinks I've built before? How?

  • Starting over might be a good idea and make sure to use great content and build up higher quality links. But in my experience .nets don't perform as well as .com sites. If you can find an exact match domain name with .net then go for it. Otherwise try to find something with your keywords at the beginning of the domain name even if it has "site" or "online" etc after your main keywords. Despite what people say EMDs work better than ever after Penguin.
