Hi All,

I did use the search feature but it's very scattered. I had all my sites optimized pre-update. and then I went AWOL for a while and finally came back to update my sites and I see all the rankings down due to the google updates.

Are there any current SEO posts/blog posts/guides that will tell me strategies and building/linking/inter linking plans for the post update? I have 2 sites that perform well and want to focus on optimizing those current.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Well, your guess is as good as most people's - it's still pretty soon after those major updates. Anyone claiming to have in-depth knowledge of post-Penguin SEO is probably trying to sell you something. My advice is, stay safe, focus on known safe/white hat SEO.

Avoid duplicate content and avoid spam link building. Personally, I focus my content for the reader, not search engines. Focus on creating viral content.... stuff that others will link to.

For backlinks, I would go for high quality, high PR backlinks. Avoid low pr, low quality backlinks in the masses.

Your site drop rank but still in the SERP. Many sites are there who kicked out of the SERP. So your lucky that you are still in SERP. May it happened because of google dance or your competitor are going fast. Then you should concentrate on SEO to get it back.
