Why noobies have hard time sticking to the game?

I've recently got interested in the subject of how to make money online when I read an article about Markus Frind on Inc.com, He is the founder of plentyoffish.com and he has been making $10 million a year from Adsense

I always loved the idea to be able to work from home and leave anywhere I want. Not to bore you to death, I am married with 3 kids. Needless to say, as soon as read that article I went online and started reading everything I can, I've been reading a lot of Grizzly, Court, and been following Steve Crooks challenge.... I also been following several other bloggers with the same principles.

I knew that make money online wouldn't be easy and I am okay with that, I also know that comes a time where you need to start taking action if you want to get somewhere. I am sure a lot of folks out there are more than happy to share their knowledge, because they know for every 30-40 new bloggers, 2 maybe 3 will be successful or at least persistent enough to see good results.

What I am really trying is to be with those 2 or 3 persistent ones. Although I am busy as it is. I try to devote at least 4 hours a day in research and action in starting to make money online, truth of the matter is, I need to scale the research part, which now stands at about 80% of my time to action.

I just need some tips from the Warrior community; I am as noobie as one can be.

I understand the concept of opening different blogs and researching well your niche. Where I've been caught up is in writing new articles.

It seems that one article sucks enough of my ideas that for me is difficult to spin this article another 5 times to post on Goarticles, hubpages, Squidoo and others...

I would like some ideas to get me off the ground.

How do you search niches? Any good software out there?
What do you do for backlinks...what have worked for you in the past?
What do you do for articles? Do you write and re-write them yourself?
Knowing what you know now...would you start on a free blog platform or your own domain?
How much time do you dedicate to your blog daily or weekly?

And finally, how long did it take for you to see some success?

I really appreciate the answers! (if they come )

I do not normally post, but maybe I can offer you some insight. I personally do not focus too much on article marketing. I focus on setting up a site(blog) in a niche that has high search value but also longevity. Think big picture what is a site you could put up today throw up some adsense and if you were #1 in google for some key terms would rake in the $$$$ for years and years without changing a thing. I tend to pick static niches IE Camping.

Most people (or at least most people that post here) are always trying to target the high paying adsense keywords. I would rather target lower paying yet something that like I said about will stick around for years.

Here are my exact steps for rolling into an adsense niche.

1.) Find a niche and investigate 3-4 top search terms through google using googles keyword tool. With adsense its less about targeted traffic like you use for Affiliate marketing and more about just landing the fish. (So if you were to do camping you might target camping tents, camping tools, camping spots, etc.. but for the start I only choose 3-4)

2.)Then I start my site or blog and have on that site 3-4 articles or explinations or just whatever that pertain to those 3-4 keywords I want. So I may have a page at lovecamping,com/camping-tents/ and then I write some useful information on tents. I do that for the other keywords as well.

3.)Oh and when first starting out I do not focus much attention on the homepage as I will be getting organic search engine traffic to my outer keyword pages way more then anyone coming to the homepage.

4.)So you have your site up and keywords picked. Next just add adsense code I normally put some at the top of the start of my articles and at the bottom. Sometimes I add code to the middle as well but not always.

5.)Next you focus on backlinks, I suggest searching for Angela Edward's backlink packet here on the forum. Its $5 a month but you cant beat it for getting high quality Backlinks. Also look into Linkvana if you have the $147 a month I say to go for it. If not just use angelas packet and use article marketing to get Backlinks for your individual pages.

6.)Now starts the waiting game, google will take about a month or two to show you your true rankings so just sit through it and keep up adding Backlinks to your site. I normally see a little clicks and some money from my Backlink traffic but the organic traffic is the most important.

On topic I would definatly buy your own domain name. I know its hard to learn and put all this stuff to use especially if you are new to html/wordpress/hosting etc. but just stick through that part, and then the rest is easy after that.

P.S. ALWAYS if you are using wordpress use the All in one SEO plugin. Make sure before you post one of your new pages that you add the correct SEO information into the plugin section before publishing.

Remember if you are doing camping-tents, to incliude in your title tag - Camping tents as well as include it a few times in your description as well. In a way that makes sense of course. Also don't forget on the page itself to include the key phrase as well. Don't spam it but most people recommend 2% keyword denisty.

Goodluck and we all start where you have I started this game about a year ago, and have done many many different things to make money. Its all frustrating in the moment but everytime something works for you the way it should it reminds you why you started doing this in the first place.

Keep your head up and good things will happen, never quit.
