Can Anyone Suggest a SAFE Backlinking strategy?

I currently have 50 pages of content on my website, and I am going to build this up to 100 pages (all written by me) before I move onto creating a new website; although, I will still continue to add content in order to turn it into an authority site. If I can get even half of those pages to rank decently in Google, I figure I can make a decent amount of money from adsense. As I get paid around £1.50-2.00 a click, I would be satisfied with £10 a day. I can write about 8 articles a day, so I can create a website in 2 weeks. If I am able to create 9 more websites, each earning the same amount, I'll be earning £100 a day, which is my goal. Although, £50 a day is enough for me, as I only have to look after myself.

Therefore, my question is, what is a safe backlinking strategy to use so I can achieve decent rankings in the SERPs? I've already created 5 web 2.0 accounts and added 1-2 pieces of unique content to each, but only squidoo seems to have linked to my site, according to webmaster tools. I've also submitted a few articles to Ezine and left a few comments on related blogs.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    • More blog comments on relevant blogs.

Leave high quality comments that make it obvious that you've looked at their site and read some of their material.

I try to be complementary so the comments are less likely to be deleted.

Make it a goal to add 5 high quality comments per day. See what happens after a month of this.

If you plan on building lots of these sites the best thing to do is sit on that site for now and move onto another. Let Google do it's thing and see if any of those pages rank naturally on there own.

I know that isn't what you want to hear but you are better off building your next site.

After a month (or longer) go back and see what pages were successful. You should be able to find a couple easy pages to push up the ranks. By waiting you don't waste time pushing pages that are never going to rank without a ton of work.

Let Google show you what to rank instead of wasting time ranking pages at random.

I've actually registered another 5 domains and added 10 pages of content to each. Maybe you are right. I should build up the other websites first. That way the other 5 sites will have 25 pages, each targeting various keywords, which should bring in some traffic/revenue.

I've heard the big G gets suspicious if the link spike and then stop.... looks like shenanigans.

            • Try guest posting. It is one of the most effective ways to get backlinks and traffic to your site. Make a list of blogs that are relevant to your content and then offer to write guest posts for the best of them. This is a great way to reach a wider audience and build high quality links.

If your writing skill is good and your niche isn't so unpopular, sicial networks like stumble, facebook, Google+ and twitter can help you get backlinks. Because people like useful or interesting contents, they probably will copy or quote your articles in their own blogs or websites, there, you got a natural and safe backlink. So the contents' quality is really important.

My safe link building strategy will be:

Making useful contribution by doing Guest Blogs of relevant niche.
    Social Bookmarking of my content
Sharing my content on social media websites to get back links (after the penguin update back links from social media websites has now more importance)
Blog Comments (relevant niche, do follow/no follow both to give it a natural look)
    Web Directories (High PR)

    Thanks

Im not sure what "safe" would be. Just try not to spam out your website with software generated things like xrumer and other tools I may not know of.

Keep it natural. Try to get contextual links for high PR sites.

The answer to your questions has been rehearsed to death on this WF.

Browse through WF thoroughly and you will find helpful info.

In the meantime, what use to work in the past still works, you only need to apply some bit of creativity to it.
