How to rank in google images

Hi..
I have a niche site that according to the GKW Tool gets 200,000 exact (yes exact) searches per month.. Yet I only receive around 70-100 visits per day and I am ranking in position 1. The keyword phrase is image related so I was wondering if I should be trying to rank the KW Phrase in google images as well.. Maybe most of those searches are for images and not websites.. So any tips on how to rank in google images..?

    The best way to ranking in google image search was optimizing your website as per google image indexing guideline. follow below process.

    1] Add alt tag on each image
    2] resolution of your image must be shown on your image path. e.g. 250x450
    3] save image by using your targeted keyword e.g. testimage.jpg . Do not add number or any other word in image name, because google read image by using your text or image name.

    But some people from digital forum suggest to put keyword in image title and alt tag.
