Hi Everyone,
I am wondering what is the best way to get a image or picture indexed and seen on Google Images for a keyword phrase?

I have this client and he wants me to get pics up on his site of him and have them indexed by Google Images and use his name as the keyword phrase. From what I seen so far and I might be wrong is it as simple as get the pic up on his site and name the pic file for example FIRSTNAME-LASTNAME.jpg then ping the page of his site that has the pic? Any and all help and suggestions is appreciated thanks.

Well, in my opinion, the image gets index right away together with the page. Its just a matter of rank for that key term or file-name. There are just a huge amount of images named the same way.

Ya I know but my client has a pretty unique name so I dont think it will be hard to get his pics of himself ranked in Google Images for his name.
      Thanks

Sure, if you have unique keywords, it'll easy to go. Like usual, give attention for file-name and its alt tag.
