I'm all for good content, but if there was a way to automate link building, that would be awesome.

Does Google still frown on text link ads?

SEOMOZ seemed supportive of it back in 2006: Buying & Selling Text Link Ads | SEOmoz

Not sure if Google will penalize you for something like text links ads, which would automate your link building.

You used to be able to automate link building, but the way things are going .. you really shouldn't even try .. it won't benefit you now and most likely hurt your site or get it deindexed completely.

Whatever way you cut it .. this is still involving paid links .. you might have heard of iAquire ..

They were involved in link buying for clients .. and Google manually deindexed their site because of the practices they used.

To get anywhere with SEO now your back links have got to be editorial based .. just throwing money at websites for links might work .. until you get found out.

You can still automate backlinks like Social Bookmarks via applications like SENuke X. There is no way Google can differentiate between manual or automated Social Bookmarks.

I wouldn't use automation for content. Most of the time it's spun garbage and Google can detect it a mile off.

Stay smart and you'll be alright.

There are things you should automate such as keyword research and you can also use tools to bring in the best partner sites with high trust and authority (seomoz tool can help you with this). However, to get the back link you need to do some manual things for the best results. link evaluation is very important nowadays with all the latest Google updates. This one does take a manual approach as well. At least thats what I have experienced. Good luck and let me know if you need any help :-)

Ya I don't think they are reliable anymore. I have lots of automated backlinking software'S but would rather just pay a backlinking service that does all the backlinks manually

You can use automatic submitter like "TheProgrammer" mentioned. Personally I only use automation tools for bookmarking. I prefer using time by doing the backlinking manually.

Finding some high pagerank sites to comment on pays the time back with great results. Getting 10000 or even more, low quality, backlinks blasted direct to your domain main domain in one hour will not do any good for your site! Trust me. You can get those services for 5 bucks on Fiverr. I will not recommend them!

There is a lot of people selling backlinks/seo plugins. I have never used them, cause I don't believe in them; If you use programs to post links automatically, you can be sure the program also post other peoples link on the same sites.

Sites which can be so-called link farms, which Google bans right away when finding.. Luckily the Penguin update removed lots of those.

I recommend you to aim for few quality links rather than lots of suspect links.

Let me give you an example:

Posting 1 link on a site like this with PR5 Glimpse | ECW Press
Will give you the same linkjuice as 100.000 comments on PR0 sites... Trust me

Sure you can automate, but you wont get the best results.
FFA links etc are easy to detect, and increasingly worthless

Magic submitter is awesome. You can even train or hire a VA that already knows how to use it.
