There currently aren't any good link building WSO's from what I've seen. Be very wary of wannabe gurus who teach "Penguin/Panda proof systems".

This WSO is pretty good and is compliant with the Google Penguin and Google Panda updates. http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...of-inside.html

No such thing as "compliant with the Google Penguin and Google Panda updates". It's all marketing and hype, nothing more. Anyone who claims to have a cure for Penguin/Panda is full of it.

You said exactly what I was thinking.

Time after time I see WSO's that claim this and they involve techniques that would get some sites slapped or even deindexed.

Everyone is taught that they need to make themselves out to be a Guru ... sad thing is most are far from it.

It would be nice to see a WSO that doesn't do this .. but they're all over hyped (at least the ones I've seen lately) .. someone needs to release a WSO that is completely white hat .. not even border line grey hat.

You can find most of what information you'd need freely on SEOmoz.org/blog .. you'd have to go through a fair few posts to scrape all the information together .. but you will at least know it's information you can rely on.

If someone used the techniques they mention as the basis of a WSO that would be well worth spending the money on just for the ease of not going through all the blog posts.

There are definitely things you can do to prevent yourself from getting hit by the Google Panda and Penguin updates, along with things you can do to recover from them. The WSO I recommended does a good job of explaining white hat backlinking techniques along with showing how it is done with a case study that fits in nicely. If you want strictly white hat SEO I can tell you the answer in one sentence. You write high quality and unique content, and you will get natural links along with natural social sharing.

I have high quality and unique content (Around 3000 words total for my whole site) but I'm not sure how to get links. I'm not sure what is 'good' and what I'm wasting my time with.

Well guest blogging is the best way to get natural and high quality links I would say. I would also utilize content marketing to promote your content you have on your site which could help your SEO along with getting traffic and many other things.

It's a long shot that you'll find it in a WSO .. I'm not saying it isn't possible .. but some of the technique's some are saying will rank your sites post penguin are crazy.

If you want to know the way to really know for sure that what you're doing is right I know some resources that will be best for you.

If you want anything that's 'push button' .. then sorry you won't find it.

Firstly I suggest you check out the blog over at seomoz.org .. they have some of the best information for you.

Secondly .. there is a book called 'the art of SEO' .. it's written by some of the biggest names in SEO .. personally I think it's the best book on SEO to date.

thirdly .. a website called Citation Labs has released a link builders guide .. it's specific to link building (the art of SEO covers everything) so it's extremely useful .. this is written by a company that really knows their stuff.

You won't need any other resources or WSO's with these. You'll have the knowledge you need at your finger tips.

Is there a reason you want a WSO as opposed to looking for a solution elsewhere?

I managed to get my blog to the first page of Google without any backlinks using a strategy that adds value to my business besides.

      Kindest regards

Did you mean 3,000 words or something more? 3,000 words is 10 quickie 300 word blog posts or 3 more solid articles. That's not a lot of content, although it is a start.

There are lots of things that you can do - there's no problem with doing things that are "google-friendly" -- but stay away from things that are trying to fool Google. There are LOTS of techniques that work GREAT for a period of time, but can put you at major risk for any future Google updates.

Its a hard word, but building a real audience, and having them generate links to you the old-fashioned "natural" way is the way to go. There are lots of things you can do to help this happen.
    1) make content that people will WANT to share (informative, or funny, or edgy, or opinionated, or definitive, etc.)
    2) make it EASY for them to share. Don't put lots of other things like sidebars or ads on the page until after the page has established itself with solid sharing. Put EASY to see instant share buttons right near the content. The combination button from addthis.com is a great way to do that easily. One small snippet and it adds the ability for your readers to share to over 300 different services. Its smaller than some of the super sharing solutions... but the FREE price is right.
    3) You REALLY win when the content is so interesting that they not only share, but the people they share to RE-share the content. That's what creates the viral effect.

You can also make your own links, but the key post-penguin is VARIETY. Variety of places the links are found. Variety of the link anchor text to include the native URL and "click this" as well as the keyword and LSI keywords related to the keyword. Variety of where the links are pointing - not just the home page, but a variety of links on the page.

There are lots of different aspects to SEO - using them together is what multiplies the effectiveness.
