2.0 Confused. SEO and Penguin

Well, after the penguin nightmare, it seems that quality backlinks are the way to go. I agree, but I'm really confused about a 2.0 seo strategy.
Let's say that you have a list of 10-15 highr pr dofollow sites, How do you exactly use them? I mean, do you use the same content on those sites? That does not seem a good idea, you are leaving clear spam footprints and you could also have a duplicate content penalty. Ok, so you write different original articles for each site...if that's the right answer...

- Are seo becoming professional writers? Is this the way to go?

- Wouldn't be better to use those articles on your own blog/s? I mean tht's a lot of work to give it away to a site that you don't own

what do you think?

Well, I would say that I had get ranked for some keywords "ONLY" using articles with Web 2.0 and PR sites.

Yes, it is good idea to write unique articles to use, otherwise go for some rewrites and make sure each article passes copy-escape.

I think that in using Web 2.0, it is best to create a few original articles and spin them manually so that it you can distribute them to the sites linking back to the money site.

If you want an added boost, be sure to social bookmark the Web 2.0.

      Spin them?

I'm not sure this is a safe approach after Penguin

      Anyway thx for your answers

    You don't.

You cannot build "quality" links from Web 2.0s. But i guess the meaning of the word "quality" is different for some people.

Building a bunch of one-time use Web 2.0s whether spun or original content won't cut it. If you want to survive now and in the future (and rely on Google traffic), you should be confident enough to say that if your backlink profile were reviewed by a Google engineer, they would be satisfied and would have no need to tag you, flag you, or otherwise mark your page for their algo to learn what NOT rank.

Anything less, and you're just biding time until their algo gets you. Set the bar that high and you'll never have to worry about another Google update.

Ahh, but if you're in it to just "Rank and Bank" for as long as you can with throwaway domains then sure go for it. You can safely ignore all of the above, but don't complain again when you get wiped out.

Any web 2.0 "strategies" are out of the window.

Being a professional writer can really help in terms of SEO, especially since the good old phrase 'content is king' still rings true .. now even more so.

The best back links have always been natural .. and the only way to get people to link to you willingly is create content.

Don't waste time on web 2.0's, even manual spinning .. it's all pure garbage.

Focus on content - making your content so freaking awesome that people will want to link to it .. then focus on outreach to webmasters who you think might be interested.

If you post a list of resources and feature someone elses product or service .. tweet them, message them, email them - LET THEM KNOW .. ask them for a tweet.

Some will ignore you, but most won't .. most feel flattered that you've included them in a post .. I've had some success with this and this beats ordering some spammy tweet service on Fiverr .. you'll be having actual brands tweet and endourse your website.

    So .. to summarise ..

    GREAT CONTENT
    OUTREACH
    SOCIAL SIGNALS

NOTE - when I say social signals, I don't mean those spammy bookmarks on websites that have no value and are just setup to provide backlinks - they suck - don't use them - they are a waste.

web 2.0 and article submission have now become the fastest ways to rank after penguin update because articles sites have high PR and when Google finds your link in unique article then it boosts up your money site too in rankings. According to my experience, Squidoo article helps a great deal in boosting up the ranking of your site if u add a unique article that links back to your money site

you use the same article? Isn't that a bit risky? I mean you could maybe suffer a duplicate content penalty

well i think its a far better option to post the content on your own blog if its really good. Its always better to post it on your own blog and promote it. It won't only bring you traffic to your own blog but also links.

You can also do some guest posts on some of the authoritative blogs in your niche. This way people will know you. You will be exposed to larger audience.

I would suggest it is better to spend time in writing good content and promoting it than spending the same amount of time in 2.0 sites.

There's nothing wrong with that as long as you are using it appropriately. Just don't use 2.0 to upload your spun articles. Always create content which is unique and of quality as well. You can still get visitors from that mini sites once you are providing the information that users need.
