Google still index/cache the redirected domain.
My friend was using example1.com for past three years and last year bought another domain example2.com, redirected old domain to the new domain. He asked me to write content, title and description for the new site. I did exactly as he said and uploaded the same. After few days when i searched for the keywords i used in title and description the redirected domain example1.com is shown in the Google's serps along with the title and description i wrote for the new domain.
I used http header checker to see what type of redirection was done for the old site and it was 302 redirect, so i asked my friend to do 301 redirection. Even after doing 301 redirect the old domain is shown in the serps (page 1) with title and description that i wrote for the new domain.

I even created few local listings, FB, Twitter, Google+ backlinks for the new domain to get indexed, but all in vain.

I'm really confused, why still the old domain is displayed in serps even after doing 301 redirect?
Should i allow a week to go so that google bot can crawl again and cache the new domain?
Can i use google webmaster tool to do webpage removal request or cache removal request? can i use these webmaster features to remove another domain which is showing title, description, contents of redirected domain?

Please advice, feedbacks really appreciated
