Shopzilla and Shopping EPC

Hi Guys,
I am a bit new in these things, however while ago I started with Clickbank and didn't have much success.
A couple of days ago one friend showed me Shopzilla and Shopping publisher and how their API system works. Apparently you can have a full price comparison website based on their publisher system with lots of categories and products.
I did some research and found a couple of website they are offering a full website software based on shopzilla and shopping publisher system.
The one that I decided to go with is Affiliate script - Shopzilla API publisher- Shopping API partner program based on their price and the fact that I already have a godaddy windows web hosting account.
The question that I have for you is does it worth it to try and buy their software? I heard from one friend that he is making $300 to $400 a week with Shopzilla and they pay pretty well. Does anyone here has the experience with them and can advice? I don't wanna go through the same path as I have gone with Clickbank and come with no results again!!
