Yes, they are all spam comments.

There are automated tools like scrapebox which can auto post comments to thousands of websites in a single click.

Install captcha comment system on your website. It will help you to get rid of spam comments.

If you really want to be save from the spamming then I suggest you Akismet. Akismet is one of the best and great way to protect spamming in blog site. I am using Akismet and see really it is working very good I am free from spam.

Coincidence I would say. Or your site recently started ranking in the search engines and automated tools started catching it.

Have you had any REAL traffic recently?

Add a captcha and you'll see the # of spam comments drop immensely. Making your blog moderated will help a bit. But you'll still get some spam comments from people who blindly blast their comments at blogs.

But a combination of captcha & moderation will definitely help.

Yeah if it is a wordpress blog go with akismet. It will weed out 99.9% of spam comments.

You can always leave the rest in moderation too, just for that 0.1%
