Best Link Building Strategy for Second Tier

Hi!

What kind of backlinking strategy do you recommend for a second tier (for example web 2.0 or free blogs)?

I was evaluating the possibility to hire a VA for a costant flow of social bookmarking links but it seems to be too expensive for a second tier.

If you have a tool like Bookmarking Demon you only have to pay for the captchas which is like $1.39 per 1000 captchas. Bookmarks work great for 2nd tier if you are using high volume sites like Pligg, Scuttle etc. Also you can get normal blogcomments done from auto approved blogs, usually a VA should already have some tools at his disposal man.

Well, it depends on what the first tier is but you can use blogs, social bookmarking, profiles, wiki, web 2.0 and so on.

How much time could I spend to do a submission with Bookmarking Demon?

Really depens on your internet connection, RAM, CPU and the bookmarking list you are using but with a normal connection you should get 200 bookmarks done within one hour but as I said I can't really tell. If you have a VPS it would be much faster.

No I'm not speaking about "time to execute the work" but time to manage the process.. so if the time that i need to spend is something like 10 min to setup the spin text, i can manage it myself without hiring a VA.

Web 2.0's are the way to go for 2nd tier. They are still seen as great links in Google's eyes if you do them right. Social bookmarking sites have way too many out bound links compared to incoming links so the link juice is so minimal. Some of them are still effective but not nearly as effective as web 2.0 blogs.

The setup time for a campaign is very fast, you just put in your spun title and description, select your sites and hit start. The software will do everything else on autopilot and give you a list of the finished bookmarking links. Can't get easier than that.
