Use Fake Pic for branding?

Maybe a very stupid beginner question, but can I use a Fake Pic to get better conversions? To make it more personal and more branding?
Getting a creative common pic from Flickr and just write "Bla thats me, I suffer from xxx" etc? Or am I infringing someones rights? Google whatever

Cheers!

You can BUT do you really want to start your business with a lie?
Honesty is the best policy when it comes to branding because you have to live with whatever lie you create and inevitably it will come back to haunt you and you may lose business over it.
Personally, I would not do it. But it is your choice.

Same comment as above... you can but do you really want to.. There are a lot of marketers out there that will twist testimonials etc from past launches and use them on new products... so it certainly happens..

I wonder about this somewhat too. You may be a young, energetic looking person and if your site is on a serious topic, the reader may have a hard time feeling comfortable with you having the knowledge. On the other hand, if you are older and write on skateboarding (which you may indeed have a passion for and know well) the reader may not relate to you.

Well I think it is nothing but cheating and cheater always leave some errors or do mistakes and they get caught no matter how clever they are or they think they are. Similar case is I just witnessed and after a little research I found the rel person behind the scene.
