Okay, I would like to clarify this question - this question is not originally from me. I've just seen it in another forum -
What exactly is a "backlink"?
So Here it is:
Does a link to one your URLs only become a "backlink" if Google suggest that it in the link:URI special search or in Google's webmaster tools UI?
OR;
Is it a backlink regardless of whether Google tells you so or not?
