Homepage Won't Index

The homepage of a site I'm working on for a client won't index for some reason the website is fundaypartyrental[dot]com , all the inner pages are getting indexed just fine but for some reason the homepage won't. Today I fixed a problem with the .htaccess so I could get permalinks working, the site didn't even have a .htaccess , was wondering not having a .htaccess could cause some problems with getting indexed. This is really bugging me someone please help :confused:

    Make sure "noidex" is not checked (assuming its Wordpress)... otherwise just give it some time. Websites can get indexed, deindexed, reindexed (sometimes more or less randomly).

      I did this about a week ago it has indexed 7/8 pages submitted but not the damn homepage!

        thats strange... did you ping it with services like ping-o-matic? submit to facebook and twitter? try and link to the homepage from an authority site perhaps? submit the URL to yahoo and bing?

            Homepage got indexed, thanks for your suggestions I don't know if it was fixing the .htaccess or the fact that I submitted to 40 stats sites but it's good to go. Still wondering if anyone knows whether a faulty .htaccess file can mess with your site getting indexed.
