If I have a 500 word article and my keyword is used 10 times within the article but my keyword is 2 words long, what is the keyword density of the article?

And about links....

I was told to use naked urls for anchor text and try to change it up right....

So I used naked urls such as

http://www.yourdomain.c0m
www.yourdomain.c0m
yourdomain.c0m

And sometimes I changed it up doing something like this

yourdomain.c0m - Anchor Text
Link - www.yourdomain.c0m

Is this bad?

Ignore the absolute KD number. There is no magic figure that applies to all.

Just write naturally to appeal to humans with call to action. Google is pretty good at semantic analysis.

If your keyword is shown 10 times and its is 2 words long then it would be:

      20 / 500 = 4%

That would be my assumption but I could be wrong.

These days I try to keep it below 2% just to be safe. In terms of Penguin, though, it doesn't matter so much as this was generally an off-site (i.e. link building) focused update.

I am using keyword density of 2% in most of my blogs and articles.

KD does not really apply in SEO. I mean just don't bother that and write naturally. There is no generic percentage that works for all keywords. Just make it look natural. Enough keywords to let a visitor know what the posting is all about, but don't focus on them too much.

  • Theres no perfect formula for keyword density. How ever i would keep it around 3-4%. Seems to be working great

    Thanks

And my question is still not answered. I know for a damn fact keyword density doesn't matter; I asked if my keyword is 2 words long (Dog training) then what is the density of the keyword throughout a 500 word article if the word is used 10 times?

Is it going to be 2% exactly OR 4%?

I am not sure whether dog training counts as 1 or 2 'key' words.
