2.0 Indexing

I've been building up a network of free 2.0's but even with 2-5 manually created articles with images and videos etc... I'm having a real issue getting indexed. I'm noticing the bigger sites like Angelfire and WordPress get indexed pretty quickly but the rest can sit for 3 months or so without Google noticing.
Looking for some advice on getting them indexed without looking overly spammy. So bookmarking them all for example is out - I mean who really bookmarks a 2.0 with a few articles on it.
I'm thinking maybe blog comments within that network - but that only really works for some of the 2.0 CMS's.
Any suggestions appreciated.
