Your Opinion Requested: High PR Homepage Backlinks

Hello Beautiful People!

I would like very humbly request all of your opinion on high page rank homepage backlinks. I have begun realizing that low pr web 2.0's, blog comments, article sites, press releases etc have started to become considered "spammy" by google's algorithm, and I think everyone here for the most part know's that as well. I do admit they have their place and I still use them but I have noticed that links that are placed on actual pages with high page rank have boosted my rankings more than anyone else.

I have done some research and found some services offering a mixture of homepage links e.g. actual(not domain) PR3-6 100 links for $200/month etc.

My question to you is: Is it worth renting high page rank links for a month? Let's say you could rent 20 actual Page Rank 5 links on aged domains for $60.00/month would it be worth it to you? Do you have any other thoughts on the matter?

Thanks in advance for all you input! I really appreciate everyone's guidance for my next step .

No doubt that high PR home page links are still effective but you going to have to look at risks vs reward. The risks are that the network may have a footprint that is easily distinguishable and remember Google are going after these networks full throttle. It may work for a while but if Google discovers the network you may see a penalty applied to your site.

It may be better for you to approach related sites in your niche that have PR and ask them for a link on their homepage and pay them a small monthly fee. In this way you will get relevent links with low OBL and the risks are taken away as well.

    IM Ash,

You make a very good point, it does seem that these high pr networks are just an evolved form of BMR and all the other's that got de indexed and their customer's penalized.

I will say that I just happen to be a webmaster of a PR6 domain and one link from a PR6 page can take a new domain to page one in low competition niches. So I do know that high page rank links really do work.

Interesting you mentioned BMR coz they just introduced a homepage backlink network that is quite innovative (hpbacklinks.com). I still wouldn't use them though! It isn't a viable long-term strategy to use networks that are in the public eye regardless of how obscure the footprint is.

With your PR6 you probably have a number of high PR inner pages which can be utilized for 3-way backlinks. Basically get in touch with 2 webmasters who have high PR sites and do a 3-way link exchange - site A links > B > C > A

If you can get 20 webmasters that will equate to 10 high PR links and this will be at no cost. Of course, getting people to agree will take some doing!

Thank you so much for the recommendation for hpbacklinks! Having a PR6 has allowed me to use the homepage and inner PR5 pages to get a PR5 for any website that I link too. I am going to look into creating a private network of my own and merely advertising it on hpbacklinks.

Im Ash you seem to know a lot about this subject. Having the ability to create PR5 website's on demand do you think this is the best way to monetize it?

    Thanks,
    Rob

It is an option, but the sites although been a PR5 will have weak domain authority. Savvy buyers will use opensiteexplorer.org to look at the domain and page authority before they purchase a link on your site. But of course there will be many who will purchase a link from those sites - just make sure you build a different backlink profile for each site you create.

The other option will be to buy aged domains, get the domain to PR5 and sell the domain at auction sites like GoDaddy.

      Or you could do both!

High PR homepage links are f'ng awesome.

I highly recommend using them, they are a long lasting strategy that absolutely crush it. It's the main reason they were targeted a while back by Google. Because they work and there's not much Google can do.

Few things to note though, use services that provide high quality content and not spun/garbage content. Most of these services these days are all spun low -quality content or some form of duplicate content. If that is the case RUN, these networks won't last long.

Also I'd be a little cautious of the service you are talking about, seems like really low pricing for this kinda thing. I've used quite a few homepage link services, and know which ones are the best. Feel free to PM me if you want some advice. But I won't be posting in this thread to make sure they stay effective.

The poster above me is pretty spot on, high PR homepage links ROCK any day any time.

One important thing that people should keep in mind when renting or buying homepage links though, don't take a link on a page with 80 outbound links to all kind of sites, way too spammy and obvious. Only 1 site owner has to get reported and you have a link on a deindexed site. With 80 outbound links that chance is obvious a lot higher then when being placed on a site with let's say max 20 outbound links. Besides that you would need 4* more of those links to get the same effect so your link profile draws more attention when you have 50 of those links instead of just 10. Good things to keep in mind!
