W3 Total Cache Slowing Down My Websites

Is it me or is the W3 Total Cache plugin seriously slowing down my websites...

After deactiving the plugin my website is super fast thanks WordPress › P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) « WordPress Plugins

Any one experiencing this problem or is it just me?

That is the exact opposite of what it is supposed to do, and the opposite of my experience with it.

Maybe it is conflicting with one of your other plugins or your theme.

While the Plugin Performance Profiler is very useful for detecting plugin hogs, it won't tell you how quickly your site is loading.

For that you need to use an external source.

Run the tests again using:

https://developers.google.com/pagespeed/

WebPagetest - Website Performance and Optimization Test

with W3TC enabled/disabled and see what results you get.

I agree with Peter - the external tests are much better.

When dealing with serving caching, I would recommend setting the test to 10 iterations, both with and without browser cache. That way if you get a couple of slow iterations while the cache is filling you will know the true speed of the site.
