I don't think the TOS directly specify this activity so you should be ok.

But on another note, the user has already clicked on an external link, to rely on AdChoices to change the mind of your visitor in a matter of a few seconds before they are redirected might be a big step.

I would say your click-through-rate is going to be very low.

Wow, where was your previous adsense code added then? :-/

Is you website mainly based around directing visitors to external website links? If so, then that is understandable.

I believe as you are not saying 'hey- click on this link to be redirected to the page you are after' then you will be fine as far as the Google TOS go

but I'm worried if adsense would think my placement is too close at
"click here " if you're not redirected.
I'm pretty sure that's the reason why I got so many clicks yesterday
so many of them accidentally clicked it.

my site offers downloadable stuff ..
using wordpress I set every file to attachment type.
Whenever they clicked download they'll be redirected to file attachment page
but some of the files i am not allowed to upload and need to redirect to owner's site.
which means i'm not gaining anything and this is where this plugin is useful..

I would remove the telling them to click on the external link etc.. you're pretty much telling them and begging them to click on your ads. Besides breaching TOS it also makes you look desperate..

I would simply say "You are about to leave X.com, if you wish to return to site click here."

Nice and simple. And don't worry about it being too close, it's a very common and tactile technique that a lot of people use.. it's common knowledge to put ads near and around areas that have those most clicks (like a popular link that people naturally already click on a lot while on the site... "next page >>" etc.. kinda thing)

I'd do that.. but that's just me. Good luck.

Disable that advert temporarily, then post your question on the Google Help Forum

They are so finicky and it's not worth risking your account over.
