Amazon sites still not ranking...

Hi again, my Amazon websites are still nowhere to be seen for their keywords after three weeks. These are long tail ~200-800 exact search keywords I picked with low PR pages on the first page and still my website is nowhere to be seen. I currently have over 10 product reviews and according to webmaster tools 18 pages are indexed for my site and I have also checked it manually.

So everything is indexed but nowhere to be found... Any suggestions?

you're going to have to do some backlinking if you want them to show up - even for really easy competition. I can't really recommend how to backlink these days as I've gotten out of that game but if you can find some good high-pr pages and a few bookmark/video submissions should do the trick.

This is definitely not true. I do absolutely zero backlinking (except for initial automated social bookmarking) to my review sites and most reviews that I publish are indexed and ranked on page one within a day in most cases.

I've sent you a response but you seemed less enthralled with it. When I search your main keyword, there is even more competition at the top of the SERPs than what I saw on my initial search for one of your products.

i rechecked my keyword and this is what i found:

            1. wiki page
            2. pr1 page
            3. pr0 page
            4. pr0 page
            5. pr1 page
            6. pr0 page
            7. pr0 page
            8. pr1 page
            9. pr4 staples delivery page
            10. pr0 page

ive checked it in google.com to make sure it is in united states and in a private browsing window to make sure results arent affected by my browsing variables... so once again these shouldnt be too hard to outrank.?

It all depends on the keywords in my opinion. Some of them will NOT budge without backlinking. but be careful, doing them in a shady way will get your site KO'd by Google.

So my recommendation is to aim for keywords that are even less popular, socially bookmarking them and see how they rank.

        Keep adding more content too.

        this definitely IS true.

        You even admit it.

If you weren't using the SOCIAL BOOKMARKING plugin, you wouldn't get those results.

        Social bookmarking = backlinks.

have you had the same results without building those backlinks?

IF SO, then go ahead and claim that all you want. If not, then it's just hype to sell your product... haven't read it, but you're saying yourself that you're building backlinks, selling a product that promises no backlinks needed.

Dude, my point is that you don't have to go out and spend time backlinking. I'm really not interested in arguing "finer points" with you.

And for the record, no, I don't always have to even do that once my site is a few weeks old. There are many, many cases where I'll post a review and not only will it be indexed within 30 seconds but it will also be ranked on page one when it is indexed.

          So, no, it's not true.

You're saying no backlinks. Except auto plugin backlinks? So that's backlinks. Reality is you build backlinks with a plugin.

That's really confusing when you're telling people they can do it without building backlinks. take a look at OP, he's not building ANY backlinks and he's not getting ranked.. maybe if he had that backlink plugin you do he could, but he don't!

Once a sites established, even just a few weeks.. yes you can get indexed 1st page based on the authority of that site, without ANY NEW links at all. but that's an Established site with links site links.

You can't just start out and build NO links and expect to get ranked, you either need links OR an authority site(built with links over time)

I'm not arguing with you, Wolfiii, I'm pointing out to OP how you're saying 2 different things and confusing people into believing you're doing something other than you really are.

If it's confusing, answer this question:
Is Wolfii using a plugin to automate social bookmarking?

            He says yes, he is.

So keep in mind if you want to have the same results he is, you'll need to social bookmark your sites as well. Either with a plugin or manually, but you'll still have to build the links he is to have the same results he is.

I used to have an auto blog plugin that would get articles, spin and submit them to UAW. I'd get 1,000 or more article backlinks to every post. I didn't do ANY of that manually, but it didn't change the fact I did it.

Sometimes you have to read between the lines of Hype to see what's really going on.

fact is.. no backlinks is BS and you MUST get them to a new site if you realistically want to get it ranked.

Many amazon gurus here have said that it is unnecessary to backlink these websites at all... Im not talking about not rechaing the first page, im nowhere to be found in the first 50 pages lol.... The gurus claim that without a single backlink they reach the first page within a week.

I thought it would be reasonable to expect page 10 after three weeks of product posting and some backlinks...

I know a girl who can fit an entire banana in her mouth.. doesn't mean I can!

nor would I try, but seriously... if it's not working for you, it's not working for you.

    My advice is simple...
If you want traffic/sales for your site you should promote it.

Right now, google doesn't know who you are, nor do they care. Show them you're willing to generate your own traffic and that your content IS getting attention from SOCIAL sites and you'll start showing up for those long-tail keywords.

Some easy steps would be converting your articles to video & linking those back to your site, pinning to pinterest, posting to facebook, twitter and other social sites. I'm seeing these social factors play the biggest role in "easy seo" keywords.

If a few social links and a youtube video aren't enough for a page one, do some seo and see how it goes!

Keep posting new content, and track what your old sites are doing...it's a long term endurance race not a sprint. Just take a look at what you're doing now and how you can automate that process to be more efficient at getting you the results you're looking for.

    PR2
    PR4
    PR1
    PR4
    PR3
    PR5

    I did not check backlinks.

3 weeks is not a long time in Google world. Personally I would get at least some good backlinks, make sure your pages etc are seo friendly. I have no idea how Wolfmmiii can rank a site so quick but I have found within about 4-6 weeks with a bit of backlinking my sites start to show. If you want instant results then you need to be looking at ppc.

My own product reviews index and rank quickly because I focus on adding content. Once my site starts seeing spider activity regularly (due to constantly adding content), new posts are indexed within minutes (sometimes seconds) and usually rank on page one just as quickly.

I created an Amazon site on the 6th and it was indexed AND ranking (position 9) on the 9th of July. That's a site that took me a couple of hours with ZERO backlinks and only 1 post of about 250 words.

Wolfmmii is correct when he says you can rank a website without any backlinks. BUT...you need backlinks to solidify your position in SERPs otherwise your money site will be doing the infamous Google Dance...

Strangely I am having the same problem, although I am backlinking in the same way I usually do (social bookmarks, web 2.0 and social media). My other sites are fine in the SERPs, but this new site (3 weeks old) is struggling with keyword ranking, although it was indexed within a few days.

    Hi,

It is easy to be indexed on Google. But for Google ranking for keywords" you really need to put in effort to optimize your page.

You can use the following free methods:
    - YouTube video marketing (I use it and my website is ranked on top pages and the YouTube video is also ranked on the top pages. This is one of my secret weapons).
    - Facebook (Google really loves Facebook. My website and Facebook are ranked concurrently at the top pages. I do not understand the reason but it just works well for me).
    - Article marketing (sign up ezinearticles. Google loves it too. A lot of people use my articles and backlinked my websites).
    - forum marketing (you are doing it now!)

Or you can use paid methods:
    - get freelancer to do the jobs for you by backlinking to your websites.
    - sign up usfreeads. It is a cheap and effective ways to get traffic and felt ranked since Google likes it too.
    - purchase some useful plugin for wordpress which optimize in such s way that Google is able to link to your websites.

    That's my two cents worth.
Hope this will give you a better idea on how to optimize your website. Since a lot of people only tell you the general things which do not help you much. I am willing to share what I know and how I bring myself to this level. In fact, I spent a lot to purchase a lot of junks from those so-called internet masters. In the end, it turns out that they keep telling the same things and lead you to no way.

To be succeeded, you need to TRY , TRY, and TRY until you find a good and workable method. You use and duplicate the workable methods. Because not everyone is good for all methods. Only use the workable methods for yourself.

    Thanks for reading.

Alex, do you market your Facebook page in any way? I always create pages on Facebook, but they don't appear to be viewed or more specifically 'liked' by anyone and they certainly never rank highly in Google for any keywords. It could be that the subject matter is quite boring lol.

        Hi jodiesmitham,

I have certain tricks to optimize my Facebook page such that it ranks in Google.

Some of my Facebook pages do not get viewed or "Liked" by anyone but it just ranked in Google. In the beginning, Facebook page goes higher than my website.

Yes you are right. You have to do research for the keywords first. Once you take this crucial step, you will be getting what you want.

Thing is, like most of my sites, they are product reviews for household items. No-one wants to become a Facebook fan of fridge freezers (for example) so whilst the keywords are lucrative in sending traffic to Amazon, they just aren't interesting enough to be discussed on Facebook/Twitter etc.

Consider generating traffic in other ways such as online/offline advertising, PPC, email, article marketing, etc while waiting for your sites to rank. It may turn out they never will rank, but so what?

First and foremost, it is content that counts. Write at least 500 words of content, preferably in the 600-800 word range. The content should not be similar to content on any other site/s and must be unique. You also need to update your site regularly, the more frequently the better. Your article should have no more than 3-4 links to Amazon. Be aware that you have taken into account all on-page SEO factors on your unique content.

If you have done all of the above and are in a low competition niche with long-tail keywords, you stand a chance of a good ranking.

However it doesn't end there because Google like social linkages. Use Facebook ,Twitter and other social sites to your advantage. Make sure you are aligned with Google Plus, just that will ensure that you get a good pat on the back by Google.

Your site should not look like it has been made for affiliate marketing, that it has been unnaturally SEO-ed for high rankings. It means that if you apply too much of backlinking your site will stay off the front pages.

Build a Blogger site and build backlinks to that site. Let the Blogger site have a link to your main Amazon product review site. In this manner you can get the power of backlinking and also have a naturally powered site.

There is no fixed recipe to make this pie taste good. If there was, every affiliate site would be vying for a place on page one. All I can say is - if you focus on your site and less on the rewards your site will pay you back eventually.

I agree with everything you've said here.

Focus on content and try to integrate social media and you'll be doing well.

You can definitely rank a page without any backlinks to it. I have a site that brings in about 100-150 dollars each month that took me about 3 hours to create and I haven't done a single thing to it since. It's not ranking on page 1 for it's main keyword (page 2) but it gets enough traffic from longtails to generate clicks to amazon and a nice income.

Getting indexed and ranked temporarily is different than holding a rank against other sites over time. That's where backlinking comes in. Ican't see most sites that are targeting a single keyword maintaining seo placement without backlinks.

You can use this same exact method for promoting Amazon products, which makes it unnecessary and rather redundant to have your web pages rank at all. My entire strategy is built around email promotions of high competition products. I massacre the competition as an Amazon affiliate with this strategy.
