Hello,

I've been making niche sites since last week and I've got a little problem. I've got 4 pages: keyword, contact us, about us and privacy policy. When I search site:site.com keyword, About is is 1#, Contact us 2#, privacy policy is 3# and my content page is on 4# place.

How is this possible? My content page is the homepage so the only difference is the link of the page. My content page is site.com, and the other pages are site.com/about-us etc.

Thanks.

Is it a great problem? I don't think so. Just concentrate on the quality of content. If your content get good position is Google search result for your targeted keyword, then what else you need? Create good quality backlinks after creating good content.

Well, there's your problem right there. No patience?
No learning curve? No experimenting? No cultivation?
No testing? No improving? No building?

I dunno people. Where do they teach that you can toss a site
up and instantly pull in riches and google love?

Contrary to popular belief, google does not have to like
your site just because someone gave you a list of reasons
and things to do. The list is BS.

In fact, they never have to like your site.

How can you possibly know if google thinks your
page is relevant or not? Maybe there's 1000 sites
already online that are relevant. Not appearing in
SERPS is not a sign that google thinks your site
is relevant or not. It's a sign that google does
not value it highly enough to put it there.

Hardwork and patience. Can't say that enough.

Making niche sites since last week? Man, people.
    What do you expect?

But hey, Jerrel, your sig says you know how
to go from 0 to a million bucks!
    Shouldn't
    you already know?!?!?!

As far as I know, Google thinks the first result is the most relevant. So why is there the About Us page and not the homepage with all the content on it?

But you are using a site operator, which means the results could be random and not based in any ranking factors. The site operator basically just provide a listing of all the pages of a website in the index. If you want the homepage to appear first before the other pages on your website, try site:yoursite.com + "the entire homepage title"

Do some link shaping and put no index tags on all the pages you dont want index. You tell Google what to index.
