Forget Nofollow & Dofollow Backlinks For Greater Results In PageRank!

Everyone wants to be ranked higher on Google. There was a guy on another Search Engine Optimization Forum that told those guys on there that Google Page Rank was outdated and no one cared about it anymore!

Yet, we still want to rank higher...hmm, that doesn't make a lot of sense, but the way that I get new blogs to a high page rank within 4 months(currently a PR3, looking to be a PR4 by the end of this next update) is this:

I don't just chase dofollow links. Forget about dofollow and nofollow. Most people won't touch a nofollow blog with a ten foot pole because of no link juice coming from that site for Google.

Don't be a racist! lol! They way I get all of my new blogs to a high page rank is to comment on every site I come across. PR0-PR8's & 9's! If you have a mindset of just getting dofollow links then you have the possibility of getting slapped by Google because of the mismatch in links.

Nofollow links are the protectors of your site. Having an equal balance of nofollow and dofollow links coming into your site is the best strategy of all. Stop looking for only dofollow links...join a nofollow forum like DaniWeb.com post on nofollow sites with high traffic like Darren Rowse's ProBlogger.net and John Chow's JohnChow.com. Making a comment that contributes to the conversation will get you some quick traffic and possibly faithful readers!

Well, you are definitely right that having a balance of dofollows and nofollows is key to getting higher ranks on Google.

This is what we hear. I also hear 90% of sites are do follow so stands to reason you should have a 90% -10% no follow to do follow? Hmmmm

I believe that nofollow links also work but not as same as dofollow links. But I didn't get any disadvantage of nofollow links. I don't look that the link I am making is nofollow or dofollow. I only look the quality of the site where I am making link.

Whoever told you that, was full of crap. There is no way they had access to enough data to make that kind of statement.

As far as the OP, I believe nofollow links can help slightly with rankings, but they absolutely do not pass on any pagerank. So if your goal is to increase PR, nofollow links serve no purpose.

I think this trick is very old and exists before penguin launch. Its very necessary to make backlinks from do follow and no follow websites because it helps to make our link building work more natural. All backlinks from do follow websites can create a problem and google can penalize a website. So we should add this strategy in our link building if we have to get results for long-long time.

Indeed, All points are great but when we will talk on Google Page Rank then Google doesn't consider nofollow backlinks for Page Rank. I read article on (Search Engine Roundtable ::: The Pulse Of The Search Marketing Community) website.

Thanks for sharing this nice realistic latest experience of yours, this will help many of us who are quite scared to do any new experiments after Google Panda and Penguin.
