how many ads should i put on my site

i applied google adsense and get an account, but i am not sure how many ads should i put on my sites, could someone give me some suggestions?

    Actually that really depends on your website.

    You can put up as many as you like BUT as long it's not annoying to the visitors on your web site.

    Because if that is so then they won't be reading your content that much and they would most likely go away quickly if they find your commercials annoying.

        Yes I think there should not be more than 3 ads in a website page ideally.

          Hi,

          You are allowed 3 regular ads and 2 contextual links on any given page, but it is not recommended unless you have large amounts of content on your pages, Google looks down on pages that are primarily (30%+) covered with ads.

          Also, try and keep ads out of the header if you can manage it, at least until you establish the identity of your website and traffic is steady.

    It depends on your website layout and quantity of content. It is better avoid too many ads in your page because it may look spammy or made for adsense. I use 2 regular ads (adsense) plus one link ads.

    I recommend using 3 on a page (as google allows) but i mean with link units.

    Maximum of 3 ads is allowed on a page if you go beyond that your account will be suspended and earnings will not be paid.

    It depends on your website layout... Just see, how many can be easily placed without killing the user experience. As such there is no defined number of ads that can be placed.
