Ijust learned that Facebook went public a few months ago and with that they got a huge influx of money, but also a huge influx of responsibility. Now, they need to make a lot more money to continue to keep investors interested and making money as well. Although I am sure Facebook has many plans on different ways they can increase their revenue (ads on their mobile traffic?), one way that is being rumored is that Facebook is developing their own offsite ad network. Something similar to the current ads on Facebook, but for 3rd party publishers like yourself. Basically, Facebook's own AdSense. If the rumors are true and they do release their own offsite ad network it could very well be the next big traffic source and you could make a lot of money from it.

Anyone heard about this? I'd love to hear some views from other warriors....

Nope, never heard of it until now. If they start their own "adsense" business... to what websites will they be able to appear on? Relevant sites in your niche, or other pages that are exclusive to Facebook?

I believe that It's possible that they will be doing something similar to yahoo advertising, it's possible that they will only have contracts with the bog companies.

I heard they want to do this soon. And it makes a ton of sense considering they have most users info.

Yes, it's true, Facebook already launched their offsite ad network. They started displaying Facebook ads and sponsored stories on Zynga.com since June, check this article: Facebook Ads and Sponsored Stories Are Now Running On Zynga.com, Previewing A FB Ad Network | TechCrunch

I believe this has potential and can't hardly wait to be available for all.

I heard about it few months ago, but also heard that Mark was not interested to launch it. Maybe in the near future, you could see it.
