Hello Friends,

Keyword density and keywords usage in articles are very vital if we want to earn through adsense. Is there any tool to check keyword density of the article (especially in lengthy articles)? Through google search I end up with tools that can be used to check keyword density in websites not in articles.

    Well, you really shouldn't be concerned about the exact percentage because most likely you are over optimizing the article which is not good. I would just try to include the keyword naturally throughout and keep your keyword density between 0.5-2%.

    I am not aware of any tools for this either. However, a case study on keyword density to ad relevance/targeting would be very interesting.

    There is really no generic percentage that works for all keywords. Just make it look natural. Enough keywords to let a visitor know what the posting is all about, but don't focus on them too much. You just have to do it naturally.

    If you really want to check it;

    [# of words in article] / [# of words in keyword] = x

    ([# of times keyword appears in article] / x) * 100 = Keyword Density %

        If you use Wordpress, then a plugin like Clickbump SEO is an option. Bear in mind, though, keyword density carriers minimal value and you can do more harm than good if you over-optimise.

    I often use this;

    Keyword Density Checker - Keyword Cloud

    I've checked thousands of pages and have had a lot of success with a keyword density of 1-9%, in most cases I would recommend 3%-4% at the most, but even this isn't tangible proof that there is a 'best' keyword density.

    I've seen sites ranked #1 for a competitive term that had a 23% density level, so it is hard to say.

    Play smart, provide value and good content, a natural keyword density will help a lot since penguin update.
